About Us

Dr Jason Bulmer is a highly skilled endodontist passionate about helping patients achieve healthy and beautiful smiles. Growing up in the Banora Point area, he attended Griffith University on the Gold Coast, earning a Bachelor of Biomedical Science, a Bachelor of Dental Science, and a Grad—diploma of Dentistry.

With extensive training and experience in endodontic treatment, Dr. Bulmer returned to Griffith University to complete his specialist training (Doctor of Clinical Dentistry) in Endodontics. He is a member of the Australian Society of Endodontology and the Australian and New Zealand Academy of Endodontists. Dr Bulmer has had multiple publications in internationally peer-reviewed journals.

Dr Bulmer greatly emphasises his patients’ experience and always ensures they feel at ease during their dental appointments. He is excited to join the Specialist Dentistry team and looks forward to providing his patients with the highest quality of care.

Dr Alexander McDonald grew up in the Whitsundays. He completed his formal dental training in Cairns at James Cook University (JCU), where he was awarded an academic medal for bachelor coursework. He then went on to work in the public dental system in Victoria and Tasmania before embarking on a career with the Royal Australian Navy, where he served for five years at the rank of Lieutenant including a position as Senior Dental Officer HMAS Cairns. During this time, Dr McDonald held a clinical supervisor role at JCU, tutoring senior-year dental students. As an Australian Dental Association (QLD Branch) Board Director (Division 8), Dr McDonald is passionate about engaging with and educating the wider community in the interests of promoting oral health and promoting the crucial role that dental practitioners play in the early detection and management of disease as part of a holistic approach to health care.

Dr McDonald has studied at the prestigious Royal Australasian College of Dental Surgeons and completed two postgraduate diplomas in the fields of orthodontics and dental sleep medicine, with the Excellence in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics institution. Dr. McDonald was also certified as part of the inaugural Fellowship in Dental Sleep Medicine program with the Australasian Sleep Association and is also the dental representative of the clinical committee. Dr McDonald is a certified orofacial myologist and an active member of the Australian Association of Orofacial Myology. Outside of work, Dr McDonald enjoys playing golf and squash, hanging out at the beach, and occasionally going for a sail.

Dr. Sergi Miralles is a highly qualified and experienced visiting dentist with a wealth of knowledge and expertise to offer his patients. He graduated from the University of Barcelona Dental School in 2005 and went on to receive his Master’s Degree in Oral Rehabilitation and Maxillofacial Prosthetics followed by an Advanced Studies Diploma in Dental Clinical Techniques (Honors). Throughout his career, Dr Miralles subsequently completed advanced training with some of the world’s leading dentists.

As a certified Digital Smile Design (DSD) expert, Dr. Miralles has over 15 years of experience in providing comprehensive oral rehabilitation and advanced aesthetic dentistry, with a focus on creating beautiful and natural-looking smiles.

Dr. Miralles is based in the Northern Rivers area and is committed to providing the highest level of care to his patients at Dental Implants and Aesthetics. He is fluent in Catalan and Spanish and In his free time, you can find him exploring the great outdoors through cycling, hiking and sailing.

Leonor is a Queensland-based Hygienist committed to quality service and professional dentistry.

Leonor began her dental industry journey in 2004, entering the profession as a dental assistant in Auckland NZ, it was in this role she found a passion for helping others and realised the role hygiene services played in the dental industry and most importantly, contributing to her patients improved dental health outcomes.

Her passion for dentistry led her to study at AUT (Auckland University of Technology) for a Bachelor in Oral Health. She worked in New Zealand in private practice until early 2022 when she decided to relocate to Brisbane and enjoy the amazing Queensland weather and lifestyle.

Leonor has a special interest in assessing and treating mild to moderate periodontal conditions and helping her patients to improve their oral health.
Leonor recognises that patient education is pivotal in order to influence positive behavioural changes and to create sustainable improved home care habits and to prevent periodontal or dental problems before they start.

Leonor keeps herself up to date by attending seminars, conferences, online webinars and additionally acquiring and developing further learning to expand her knowledge specifically in dental hygiene.

Outside working hours, she enjoys practicing meditation, yoga, reading on several science and spiritual subjects, exercising and socialising.
